Booker T Steps It Up

Booker T is not just good for an old man. He is just plain good.

After the rain cleared up, the weather became perfect for the legendary musician to take stage. The beginning of the performance consisted of mostly classic blues songs, including “Hold on I’m Coming” and “Take Me to the River.” The remainder of the evening was dedicated to an all-out jam session that kept the crowd dancing.

Included in his set list was “Green Onion.” Here is a performance of Booker T and the MG’s:

Booker T closed the show with “Ain’t No Sunshine,” a song by Bill Withers. The song was from his first album that Booker T produced. Definitely my favorite show of the day.
