Keep up with the Columbia Missourian's Arts & Entertainment beat writers

Casey Reeves at Top Ten Wines

Halfway through the the first night of Bluebird, Casey Reeves closed the evening for those at Top Ten Wines. Other venues at the Bluebird Festival didn’t stop until 1am, but Reeves’ music fit well in this intimate venue.

After playing around Columbia with Caulfield and the Magic, Reeves started performing solo in 2007. Reeves is also a member of the Bluebird Board of Directors. This is the Bluebird’s second year as a music festival featuring Midwestern bands and artists. With little to no fanfare last year, it seems the festival is finally starting to gain some attention.

Reeves’ gentle sound was a stark contrast to the rest of the evening. However, Reeves was definitely one of my favorites for the evening. Check out his music at myspace.
